KWARA FADAMA NG-CARES ORIENTATES ADVISORY SERVICE AND INPUT CONSULTANTS (ASIC) ON QUALITY EXTENSION SERVICE DELIVERY* - *Quality of your Service Reflective of Govt's Image, SPC Reminds ASIC*
The Kwara State Fadama NG-CARES Coordination Office met with the Advisory Service and Input Consultants (ASIC), engaging them in an orientation session on Quality Extension Service Delivery.
The four ASIC, that excelled after series of screening, out of over Forty-three applicants, are Ogunniran Y. A., Ahmed A. S., Shina Yusuf and Oluwatoyin F. Ajayi.
The orientation programme, which comprised four successful Service Providers on fishery inputs and assets, was in respect of the delivery platform's disbursement coming up soon.
Educating the Consultants concerned, the State Project Coordinator, Engr. Dr. Busari Toyin Isiaka, stressed the significance of quality service delivery in the implementation of project, stating that the efforts of the entire stakeholders in the project will be jeopardised as the beneficiaries will be surcharged if the function of the ASIC is defective.
He observed that an impeccable service by the consultants will satisfy the farmers and will be commensurate with the good intention of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq in embarking on the intervention project.
Busari appealed to them to deliver services that will make their names to be written in gold after delivery, seeking their cooperation at every level.
"The work of service consultants is crucial, indispensable and must not be taken with levity. You are our watchword, whatever you deliver is reflective of the delivery platform and the image of the government, especially now that we have a government that is ardently keen on quality service delivery in all the sectors of governance.
"Your function, as service consultants, affects the beneficiaries, the delivery platform and the governor who is committing very huge fund to the project. What we want from you is irreplaceable services.
"I appeal to you, let the people feel the quality of the government in terms of service delivery. If you do it accordingly, your names will be written in gold", the coordinator declared.
He stated that the Eight Local Government Areas the service consultants will cover include Edu, Ilorin West, Ilorin East, Ilorin South, Asa, Offa, Moro and Oyun.
The consultants were taken through Technical Sessions of orientation on Scope of Operation/Schedule of Payment, Guidelines for Extension Service Delivery and Procurement Procedures by the Technical Officer (Assets), Hajia Ramat AbdulMalik, Technical Officer (Inputs), Engr. Abdulmalik Zubair, and Procurement Officer, Mr. Kabir Yinka Ibiyemi.
Meanwhile, the office later in the day gathered another set of Community Facilitators and Local Desk Officers for capacity-building training in respect of the various Farmers Communities' Associations in the Local Government Areas of the trainees.
The training was part of the arrangement for the disbursement of the delivery platform slatted for the months of May and June on crop inputs and assets.
