KWARA FADAMA PRESENTS I. T. EQUIPMENT TO COMMUNITY FACILITATORS

Eight mobile phones (Tecno Pova-2), eight hp laptops and 1 no of Printer were presented by the Kwara State Farama NG-CARES to some Community Facilitators today, Tuesday, 24th of May, 2022.

The symbolic presentation, which took place in the Office  of the Director, Personnel, Finance and Supply, Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, was the second phase, as Community Facilitators from eight LGAs had earlier received such items which they are using  to adequately keep data on the field.
Included among the receivers of the items were Facilitators from Baruteen, Kaiama. Irepodun, Ekiti, Isin, Patigi, Oke-Ero and Ifelodun Local Government Areas of the State.
Presenting the items to the Facilitators, the State Project Coordinator, Engr. Dr. Busari Toyin Isiaka, harped on effective utilisation of the gadgets on the field, stressing that the items are the tools that will enhance their accurate data collection and adequate computation.

He thanked the Kwara State Governor, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, for making the occasion a reality, stating that with the level of commitment the Governor  is investing  in the Kwara Fadama  NG-CARES  Project, there is optimism for great success as regards the project.
Recall that the facilitators from Ilorin West. Ilorin South. Ilorin East, Asa, Offa, Moro, Oyun and Edu LGAs  had collected their I.T. equipment for the implementation of the Fadama NG-CARES Project.
Present at the event were the Ag. Hon. Commissioner, (Director, Personnel, Finance and Supply), Alhaji Kayode Abdullahi, Deputy Director, Agric Engineering Services, Director Veterinary Services, Director Livestock Services,  Fishery Services, Director Agric Services, Director Planning Research and Statistics, MD ADP, CFA, and other Management of the Ministry. 
Fadama staffers were also in attendance.

In preparation for the third phase of the disbursement by the Kwara Fadama CARES, the Kwara State Government has organised an orientation session for the Advisory Service Providers, who are to offer technical services to the beneficiaries of the Fadama CARES intervention.  It would be recalled that the Kwara Fadama CARES has, since the commencement of the project,  earlier had two phases of disbursement to indigent farmers in the State.  Addressing the Service Providers, the State Project Coordinator, Engr. REA SUPPORT FARMERS WITH SOLAR-POWERED PUMPS

The Rural Electrification Agency (REA), in collaboration with National Fadama Development Project (NFDP), has supported dry season farming across the 16 local government areas of state with Solar Powered Irrigation Pumps, to enhance food security in Kwara State and to ensure all year-round in farming/cropping. This is coming as a result of Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed in July, 2022 between REA and (NFDP). Presenting the solar-powered irrigation pumps, the Higher Technical Officer, Rural Electrification Agency, North Central Zone, Engr. * Weeks after the Kwara State Government presented flying boats to many communities through the fourth disbursement by the State Fadama CARES, not less than six riverine communities from Patigi Local Government Area of the State, have  expressed profound gratitude to the State Governor, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq CON.  Representatives of the concerned communities including Ellah, Edozhigi, Gudugi, Mawogi, Esugi and Gbaradogi, comprising indigenes under the umbrella of Kyeadya Kintin Development Association gathered at the Office of the Kwara Fadama CARES, Ilorin, to commend the present administration for touching their lives empirically through easing their coastal engagements and improving their livelihoods as fishermen.
